Dr. John F. Vertefeuille, chief of the Polio Eradication Branch within the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, provides some personal history and then describes his engagement with CDC's 2014-16 Ebola epidemic response. Dr. Vertefeuille served as a team lead during CDC's Nigeria response and a deputy team lead/epidemiology lead for CDC's Liberia response.
