Description

Interview 1: Dr. Margherita E. Ghiselli, emergency public health epidemiologist with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, briefly describes her background, then details her involvement in CDC and the World Health Organization's responses to the 2013-16 Ebola epidemic. Ghiselli was deployed as a CDC secondee to WHO, and spent time in Kambia, Sierra Leone, from January through March 2015, and Forecariah, Guinea, from June through August 2015. She then deployed a third time, as CDC staff, to Conakry, Guinea, in April 2016.

Interview 2: Dr. Margherita E. Ghiselli, emergency public health epidemiologist with CDC, describes a bit more of her experiences with WHO and CDC's work to stem the West African Ebola epidemic, including gender dynamics in the Sierra Leone and Guinea responses.
