Description
Mohamed F. Jalloh, epidemiologist with the Division of Global Health Protection within the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, briefly reviews his life and education in Sierra Leone and the United States, then discusses working to stop the 2014-16 Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone. Jalloh co-founded the Sierra Leonean NGO FOCUS 100, and was working in Freetown as a senior program manager when the epidemic began. He worked to pivot the organization toward Ebola response work, focusing on social mobilization and community engagement.
