Description

Interview 1: Daniel W. Martin, public health advisor in the Division of Global Health Protection within the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, reviews his career and then describes his first deployment to Sierra Leone as part of CDC's response to the 2013-16 Ebola epidemic. In that initial deployment, Martin worked as a field epidemiologist in Tonkolili District in October and November 2014.

Interview 2: Daniel W. Martin, public health advisor with CDC's Division of Global Health Protection, describes his second and third deployments to Sierra Leone as a responder to the 2013-16 Ebola epidemic. Martin deployed to Port Loko in June 2015 as a team lead and epidemiologist, and to Freetown in October 2015 to make progress on the Global Health Security Agenda.

Interview 3: Daniel W. Martin of CDC's Division of Global Health Protection describes his January-February 2016 deployment to Kambia, Sierra Leone, to follow up on an Ebola cluster. Martin also discusses the changing role of public health advisors within the agency.
