Description
Dr. Frank J. Mahoney, CDC assignee to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies focusing on immunizations, provides some personal background and then describes his engagement with CDC's 2014-16 Ebola response. Dr. Mahoney served as CDC team lead in Nigeria in July and August 2014, deputy lead in Liberia from August to November 2014, and lead in Liberia from January to March of 2015. In between deployments, he served as a liaison to the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
