Description

Interview 1: Dr. Pierre Rollin, deputy chief of the Viral Special Pathogens Branch within the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, gives an overview of his life and career leading up to the 2014-16 Ebola epidemic. Particular attention is paid to Dr. Rollin's experiences with viral hemorrhagic fevers in Africa.

Interview 2: Dr. Pierre Rollin, deputy chief of CDC's Viral Special Pathogens Branch, recounts his work during CDC's 2014-16 Ebola epidemic response. An Ebola virus disease expert, Dr. Rollin led CDC's first team in Guinea, and subsequently provided leadership and guidance in Libera; Mali; Dallas, Texas; and New York City, in addition to serving at CDC's headquarters in Atlanta.
