Description
Dr. Anne Schuchat, rear admiral in the United States Public Health Service and principal deputy director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), briefly reviews her career and then discusses her role in the Ebola vaccine trial known as the Sierra Leone Trial to Introduce a Vaccine against Ebola, or STRIVE. Dr. Schuchat oversaw STRIVE from the CDC side, playing a key role in shaping the trial alongside principal investigators Dr. Mohamed Samai and Dr. Marc-Alain Widdowson.
