Description

This bluish-red Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) nodule appears on the plantar surface of the left foot below the metatarsal joint of the second digit. In those with a weakened immune system, infections and other diseases that invade their bodies cannot be fought. Kaposi's sarcoma in people with AIDS usually spreads more quickly than other kinds of KS, and is often found in many parts of the body.
