Description

An example of a testing kit used by the Liberian National Burial Team during the 2014 – 2016 Ebola outbreak. The kit includes a form given to patient's loved ones with their ID number, a form that accompanied specimens to labs, several red biohazard autoclave bags, and a bag of oral swab materials including specimen vials and location notes.

Oral swab samples were commonly used to test for Ebola in recently deceased individuals who were suspected to have died as a result of the virus.
