Description
Dr. Andrea M. McCollum, epidemiologist in CDC's Poxvirus and Rabies Branch, briefly reviews her career, then describes her experiences in the agency's 2014-16 West African Ebola response. Dr. McCollum deployed with CDC's first team sent to Guinea in March and April of 2014. She subsequently worked on the response from the Atlanta Emergency Operations Center and worked to stem a separate outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
