Description
Dr. Mary Choi, medical epidemiologist with the Viral Special Pathogens Branch of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, briefly reviews her career, then describes her experiences as part of CDC's response to the 2014-16 West African Ebola epidemic. Dr. Choi was on CDC's second team sent into Guinea early in 2014, and subsequently served on the domestic responses in Dallas and New York. She then oversaw the Men's Health Screening Program, a joint program with the World Health Organization and Liberian Ministry of Health to test Ebola survivors for viral persistence in their semen.
