Dr. Amara Jambai, deputy chief medical officer in Sierra Leone's Ministry of Health and Sanitation, describes his part in organizing Sierra Leone's response to its 2014-16 Ebola epidemic. As director of the Directorate of Disease Prevention and Control during the response, Dr. Jambai helped to coordinate the Ministry of Health's efforts and partner effectively with international actors.
