Description
Dr. Mark Hollis was the Medical Officer in Charge of the Malaria Control in War Areas (MCWA) Program within in the Public Health Service from 1944-1946. MCWA was the predecessor of the Communicable Disease Center (CDC). Mark Hollis also became the first Executive Officer of the CDC in 1946. He shares his experiences about the early days of CDC.
