This photomicrograph reveals some of the histopathology found in this brain tissue sample in a case of neurotoxoplasmosis. The biopsy specimen was harvested from a patient with a fatal case of AIDS. You're able to see what is referred to as a pseudocyst, containing numerous Toxoplasma gondii bradyzoites.

In this section, you're able to see what are referred to as pseudocysts, containing numerous Toxoplasma gondii bradyzoites. Some of the tachyzoites were situated extracellularly as well.
